As the weather turns chilly over the weekend, many young people are seizing the opportunity to dress up” and head to the heart of Hanoi to snap souvenir photos, as the Christmas season draws near.

With only two weeks to go until Christmas, one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year, young people and families are coming together to enjoy the early festive vibes.

The perfect time, as Hanoi’s Old Quarter- the city’s bustling shopping and entertainment hub- has come alive with Christmas cheer, yet remains pleasantly uncrowded.
Hang Ma Street in Hoan Kiem District, long known as the place to go for the best Christmas decorations in Hanoi, has been aglow with festive lights and colorful displays since November.
The street now exudes holiday warmth and joy, making it a favorite destination for young people looking for the perfect place to capture the spirit of the season.
The shops, brimming with dazzling ornaments, are a magnet for visitors’ eager to take photos.
Some merchants kindly allow people to take snapshots for free.
However, for those looking to indulge in professional photoshoots, there may be a small fee for extended sessions.
Le Thi Huyen, a tourist from Cau Giay District, says that the cold weekend weather was just right for capturing beautiful Christmas photos.
“We chose Hang Ma Street to celebrate Christmas early. The decorations here are absolutely stunning and make for a fantastic backdrop,” she said.
Tourists and locals alike are enjoying the festive scene on Hang Ma Street, posing next to sparkling Christmas trees and elaborate displays.
Families, especially those with young children, are capturing the holiday magic, dressed in matching white and red outfits to complement the joyful atmosphere.
